I have installed a addon for OpenCart which allows you to add SKU's to product options. There is a stock inventory system which cross references items by SKU, so if an item is sold online or an item is sold in a POS environment then the quantity is updated to the most recent one. So in other words, if the stock database has the most recently changed stock quantity value then push this change to OpenCart and if an item is sold on OpenCart then push this change to the stock inventory database. Attached is an illustration to hopefully help roughly explain what I have in mind. This script will be running via a cronjob which I will set up. I need it to easily move the script to different environments with minimal configuration, so I want minimal dependencies not much more work required to set it up then changing a few database details and maybe a patch in a config file.

What I can do is a simple shell script to automate this task, also I must to code some triggers in both tables, so when a quantity get uptdated then it will execute the shell script, so will change the other table, IF both tables are in the same server/database then I can perfom this action using just a trigger.
