I have experience making applications for mining data from different sources using python+db (SQL,noSQL) (backend) and pyqt (for the user interface) and finally presenting it in a viewable nice format using shiny (R). Depending on the complexity of each one of the data sources that you're working with we may need to add an option to update the data without running all of the process, for this we need a database. I'll propose you to work with clear milestones, given that I really don't know how much places do you need to get data from then we can roughly estimate that we can set milestones like the following: 1. Working example of visualization + working example of app + data from 1 or 2 places 2. Adding a place and updating the GUI+visualization 3.
