I need a skeletal authentication system for a PHP app, the app already exists but I need the authentication system created. The authentication should work like Zendesk's authentication in that users should be able to exist locally but also authenticate against a SAML Identity provider (such as Okta or OneLogin) or popular enterprise services such as Google. Zendesk requires at least 1 local account for managing the system and the rest of the users are created either locally, authenticate using SAML connector to an identity provider such as OneLogin or against a service such as Google (oAuth is acceptable). To summarise: - I need scripts that I can POST data to using PHP that either authenticate/create a user or return a registration/login error. - The app administrator should be able to connect to app to a SAML identity provider - The authentication system should work exactly the same as Zendesk's system at [login to view URL] The traditional part of the authentication system must utilise bcrypt, blowfish and salting for security.

Hello! First of all I have never used zendesk , but as you are referring to that I will see . But I think I understand other parts of it. First of all I use phpass for salting just like WordPress does. I think being the most popular cms if they can trust it, so can I. I have worked with Google authentication api and also with Facebook and twitter. I know how their oauth works , how to integrate with them. Unlike other two Twitter doesn't offer user email. Now about the database there will be standard fields with id, unique etc , along with a meta fields where additional data can be stored as json string or I can create additional table for that. Everything will the available via class methods like is logged in, has permission etc. Redirect function will also be there. About the frontend there will be client side validation using jquery , additionally recaptcha can be used if you like it, Please find me on chat we can have further discussion there. Thanks!
