A small custom user profile Joomla component is needed

Custom User Profile component (module or plug-in) is required for a Joomla 2.5 based website. Core User-Profile module is missing some of the features we need and we don't feel like going for heavy social web type extensions, like CB. It's fairly simple and ultimately is just an enhancement of the core User Profile component. Main fields are the same: Name, Username, Password, Email, City, Country, About me (multiline text box, plain text), Date of birth. In addition to those User must be able to upload one profile photo (not to exceed certain size, say, 80-100K). ## Deliverables 1. Registration form, User Profile view and Edit profile form are all required. 1. User Profile View and Edit Profile form must also display unique User ID (read-only). (It will be used later in the process for verification purposes.) 2. Required fields. Component must have configuration settings to make fields Required or Optional. 3. Configurable labels/captions. Admin must be able to change the text of a label, e.g. "Username" to "Nickname", etc. 1. Ideally, Admin should be able to add textual warnings/explanations anywhere on the form as well as change layout (position of the fields, etc.). 2. Description. Admin must be able to add Description to a field, if needed (or possibly as a tooltiptext). 4. CSS: The look and feel must be completely sylesheet-driven. Admin must be able to either use style settings of a default template or use component's own settings 5. Photo. User must be able to upload and remove photo. 1. If file size is greater than a set value a warning message must be displayed. The Max Photo Size value must be configurable. 2. Admin must also be able to set image size for the Photo for each form/view 6. Documentation 1. Code must be clearly documented (inline comments) to make it more readable. 2. Admin/User guide describing how the component works as well as its structure (files included, etc.) must also be provided. 7. Delivery. Component must be packaged and ready for easy installation. It should allow clean uninstall. 8. Development/Design. 1. Component must have all the core features of the default User profile module. 2. It is our preference that the component be built using clear modular design based on reusable classes/objects whenever possible and practical. 3. Ideally, it should not be dependent on third party components that are not part of core framework. 4. Flexibility. Ideally design must allow easy future enhancements (adding another field, allowing two photos instead of one, etc.). 9. Impact on core Joomla framework. 1. Impact on the rest of framework must be minimal. 2. **_Note:_ modification of framework core files must be avoided whenever possible!** Preference will be given to those with previous Joomla component development experience as well as those who are diligent and enthusiastic about what they do. We also don't mind if the developer would later like to post this component on Joomla Extensions site to share with others - whether on commercial basis or not. _Note:_ This is part of a bigger project and there is a few other custom Joomla components that may need to be developed. We plan on posting them later based on the outcome of this project.
