I am looking to hire someone to create a script that will allow an online ecommerce solution called Shopify ([login to view URL]) and an online streaming solution called Floodgate ([login to view URL]) to work together.
Shopify API documentation can be found here [login to view URL]
Floodgate is designed to do web streaming, ecommerce, & hosting. I really am only interested in its ability to stream video; I do not need it to process transactions.
I need someone to create some type of intermediate script that will make these two pieces work together. Shopify does have a lot of API documentation, and the people behind Floodgate have offered to answer any questions a programmer may have to make this work.
## Deliverables
I do video production, and have been searching for a simple and affordable way to sell streaming video online. I love the ecommerce functionality of Shopify. I love Floodgate's ability to do streaming video, but do not want to use its included shopping cart. I want to figure out a way to make them both work together. Shopify has a lot of API documentation, and runs on Ruby Rails. I know that Floodgate has an API, but I'm not sure what language it is in.
I need a solution that will allow users to buy streaming videos hosted through floodgate from my Shopify store. I'm sure there are many ways to do this; I don't care how it is done as long as the following conditions are met:
1. The customer should never know they are leaving the Shopify site, floodgate should be transparent.
2. Whatever system is used to accomplish this should run without any maintenance after it is installed.
3. The customer should be able to log in and view video streams from the Shopify site.
4. Adding video streams should be as easy as adding products to Shopify and uploading the files to floodgate.
