PHP MySQL Database tweeks

I have a password protected "member's area" to a website. I have an existing database that was converted to MySQL5. I think the code is now deprecated. The are a few minor functions I need fixed and a few added. 1. Password does not work for member’s that forgot password and requested new password via the site. (the password is emailed however it doesn't work) 2. New users need to be approved by administrator before the new registrant has access to member's area. (right now a member can register and get access immediately). 3. A few of the password protected pages (session) are still visible without logging in. I need this corrected so it's not visible (redirected back to login page) for non-logged in visitors.
