The object of this porject is to create a decimal game for students ages 8 - 12 with a pirate theme The name of the game is: Decimals of the Caribbean. It is a companion to a theme on the site. The game will require significant action scripting and excellent animation/graphic skills. The coder will also have ot be willing to make modifications (if necessary) to improve game play. In short, the user plays the role of Blackbeard and sails through Caribbean ports trying to blast Spanish treasure ships. The 'decimal' or 'math' part of the game plays out this this: On the screen, there will be seven or eight Spanish ships sailing in the harbor. Each will have a decimal number on it. On top of the screen will be the decimal written out in words (Four and seven tenths, for example). The user will have to blast the ship with the corresponding number. The player progresses from port to port by blasting all of the ships that correspond to the number written out in words (that must cahnge) on the top of the screen. Each round (port) should get progressively harder with numbers that have more places before and after the decimal point. The setting should change in each round and there should be a map guiding the player through the Caribbean from port to port. A full description of the game with all of the details will be posted with bid acceptance.
