Maybe the logic is complex or it is how an old database engine works with several files other than a few ones. Maybe the files are encrypted in some form also. I need to explore the app before I accept. I have a hunch I can treat this like a simple machine learning project in R without getting lost in the app's sea of code. It's a shot in the dark, but if it works, I can save you some time and money. If you send it over I will take a brief stab at it, let you know if I can help you, and whether we need to adjust my price.

If the source is C++ I will have to decompile the source first. If that is successful, which it should be, then it is a matter of digging through the code to understand it. I will need to know exactly what the program is meant to do, as that will assist with the reverse engineering. Note I do not subcontract work, I do it myself.
