LESSON ONE Setting up the development Environment Installing and configuring Xamarin and Visual studio, Android SDK. Understanding the IDE and its shortcuts. LESSON TWO Introduction to Xamarin Forms Introduction to the framework. Hello World App. LESSON THREE User Interface Introduction to XAML Introduction to Pages, Layouts and Views Navigation, Styles and Maps Gestures and Animations. Working with existing themes, creating a custom theme. LESSON FOUR Dependency Services and Behaviors Attached Behaviors and Reusable behaviors. Implementing Text-to-speech. Checking device orientation Checking battery status. LESSON FIVE Messaging Center Sending messages between the views and the model. LESSON SIX Web Services Consuming Web Services (AWS). Authenticating Access to Web Services (AWS). Synchronizing data with web services. LESSON SEVEN Accessing native elements Working with the phone dialer, GPS and phone’s camera. LESSON EIGHT Deployment Creating an APK file and deploying your app to the phone. Publishing your android app to Google’s play store.
