Design a Website Mockup

General Info / Brief We are looking to redesign our ecommerce platform. You can check out the current version by following this link - theMakeupShop Our company is an online retailer of color cosmetics products. We are kind of a niche company since we do not sell brands that you can find in every perfumery and hypermarket. Most of our brands have a very powerful online presence and are sort of makeup gurus and enthusiasts promoted brands. 90% of our customers are females aged between 16 and 35 years old. Our customers are quite tech savvy, they spend a lot of time on social media and they are bargain shoppers. The design we are looking for should be modern and playful clean but not over minimalist. We want to keep the current color theme. However, slight changes are possible. Overall, we want to change everything without having our regular customers feel that they are browsing a completely new website. Since our last redesign we also have a new logo that can be found in the attached files. We know that current trends dictate that you should have a responsive design that will fit both mobile and desktop browsers, however we feel that this is a compromise (you compromise the looks of the desktop website just to get functionalities for the mobile website). However, for us this is not an option. We want to have 2 versions of the website - a desktop front-end and a mobile font-end which are hosted on to 2 different subdomains (e.g. [login to view URL] [login to view URL]). The website interface should be both attractive and user friendly but also include all the information we currently have on our website. The design should be feminine, modern, professional friendly, soft and exclusive. Basically, what we are looking for 2 designs (one for mobile and one for desktop pc browsers) for 5 pages: 1. Homepage 2. Category 3. Product page 4. Cart 5. Checkout page(s) including login Also feel free to checkout our facebook page. Likes and Dislikes Some pages we like: 1. LookFantastic is by far the Number 1 website in our preferences that we love a lot (Home Page, Category, Cart). Keep in mind we are not looking to become a [login to view URL] clone. 2. NYX Cosmetics website is nice (Color Theme, Home Page) 3. Absolute New York is another website that we like (Home Page, Category Menu -Middle of the page) Some pages we don’t like: 1. Beauty Bay – too minimalist, general look is very cheap 2. Beautylish – also too minimalist, product page looks empty 3. Sephora - product images too small on first page, category and product page view although we do like structuring the information in tabs on the product page Branding To us branding is very important. theMakeupShop® is a registered trademark and a well-known brand in Romania. As stated before we need our regulars to feel they are still on the MKS website. Logo: We must use the new version of the logo in the design. Fonts: Although we do not have any font restrictions we prefer clean sans fonts like Oswald (Google Fonts), Open Sans (Google Fonts). We prefer using only google fonts as they are easier to implement as web-fonts and are hosted by Google, cutting some slack to our web servers especially in high load situations. Color scheme: Below you have the current color scheme that we would like to keep. However slight changes are possible. Please keep in mind that the website should not look overly pink / tiring. Also, please do not use the “default black” #000000 but rather darker grays like #1c1b1b or #131313. The predominant color should be white #ffffff. The website should look clean but not very minimalist.
