About the Motive. As the album is in production, the band decided to post this project to look for artists to get the artwork (album cover) for their forthcoming release.
About the Music. The album will be the first full length release of a Symphonic Black Metal band. All songs are, in a way, a mixture of traditional and modern black metal with eclectic choirs and symphonic orchestra arrangements. The sound could be descript sometimes as "epic" or "heroic" and also with "evil" or "horror" Here is a sneak peek:

About the Artwork. The entire album is surrounded by the same atmosphere... that epic/evil duality and the cover should be inspired in that way. Some of the first ideas the band has, could be descript as:
- an heroic/epic/villain figure (full or half body) with some context in the background
- similar as the above, but just face/portrait with less background
- an idea of duality using reflection (using for example a mirror or water in a pond) on a similar character
Although the theme has already been defined, the details are open to discuss with the artist.
About the Techniques. The style of music has some solemnity and maybe some arrogance as well, so the style must be consistent: Photo Manipulation, 3D Digital Painting, Realism Painting, Realism Illustration, and similar. Not "cartoony", not comic style, not manga/anime drawing style.
About the Artist Profile. We're not looking just for talent, we'd like to find someone who understands the context and has some background on the same topic. For example, previous experience in horror/scary/creepy artwork. Some love or passion for dark, obscure and macabre art would be ideal, and some taste for black metal music would be perfect ;-) (but not necessary)
About the Timeline. The job must be delivered within 4 weeks (at maximum, 1 week to discuss details, and 3 weeks for production)
About the Requirements. The album with this artwork will be released in physical format (CD) and on every online streaming platform as well. Also some merchandising would be released eventually. The band, the production and the label company will have lifetime full rights to use and reproduce digitally or physically the artwork provided by this project (by its author) for the purpose of rent, sell, promote or advertise the band’s albums and merch. Also the name of the artist could be shared in the album booklet, promotion, social networks, etc. if it's required or desired.
