Identifying the names of the rocks and minerals can be one of the most exciting jobs. I have deep knowledge about rocks and minerals as I previously worked on this to build an app that recognizes different rocks and minerals.

I am a Masters degree holder in Geophysics with a solid geology/petrography background (Basic understanding of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary/intrusive and extrusive) and an understanding of mineral groups and their constituent minerals. Since I won't be able to have access to test the hardness of your rock samples using Mohs scale or carry out HCI reactivity test. The only thing I would depend on will be what I see physically just like you provided in the video. To identify some of the things i saw in the video: What you have behind rock sample 1 looks more like a quartzite Sample 10 is a granitic gneiss, I can see the mineral band (a met rock) Sample 1 is a Gneiss Sample 8 is an Orthoclase Sample 7 is a Hornblende with a visible irregular cooling effect

I have a geology degree and good mineralogy/ petrographical skills. I have taken part in many geological mapping exercises through out my career as a geologist. My career as a well- logger and exploration hydro-geologist on part-time basis has sharpened my skills in lithology identification both of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary genesis. My several years of side hustle as both dealer and middle-man in the gemstone trade in Africa coupled with deep research has transformed me into a reliable gemologist in my encounters. In fact did a mineralogy degree thesis using first hand metasomatite sample data dubbed : 'Genesis of Gem Corundum in Nakrogon; Alale; West Pokot- Kenya'.Though not yet published but I have a copy.
