Last time I worked on dsPIC33 for motor control and I know PIC devices very well. PIC10 is a 8bit small device and often programmed on assembly. I know the PICs 33 instruction set and can implement your required operation in assembly. External interrupt with some de-bounce mechanism can make this push button operation flawless.
