I have both written and edited fiction in the past, and I am able to concentrate for long periods of time. Once I begin a project and get a feel for it, I will finish the project faster. To edit your story, I would plan to read it through twice, then begin the editing process. I would focus the most of my concentration on grammatical errors and faults/lacks in the plot.
