Hello I went over your specifications and the sample database that you have attached. Here are my thoughts: 1 - You will need a database with a user based login module so that you can control what each user is able to see and/or edit. 2 - You need a order form where the customer can input an order for a specified length of time - say for a month or for a year. Since he should also be able to suspend or cancel the order at any given time - when you save the order the code should create a "Delivery calender" with tentative prposed dates for the order delivery. This could be every day, every sunday or once month depending upon the schedule of the item ordered. 3 - This calender which will be unique for each customer must be "editable" to certain users so that you can cancel or change the sunbscription. 4 - Based on this calender you will be able to print daily delivery list, Monthly or weekly invoices etc. 5 - If required you will also be able to send invoices directly to your customers from the database itself. Hi Bob, I can develop the database as per your requirement. The database that you have created is a good start. Please be careful as to things like the price field and how you store the values in the orders tables. A common pitfall in database design is that on changing the price of an item say increasing the price. The prices for all previous order get automatically increased which is not what you want. Is there is a particular reason as to why you would like the database to Access 2010? I am guessing it is the version of Access that is already available. Are you aware of Ms access run-time software which is free and has some advantages of using it for an end user. I would charge 150 pounds (negotiable if it helps makes an elderly couples life easier). I would work with you by providing drafts of the database for your comments and suggestions. I would then amend the database, taking on board your feedback until you are satisfied with the final product. I also have a strong background in retail, and exposure to delivery / route scheduling logistics thanks to experience in a wholesale / warehouse environment. I would love to talk with you about your newsagency project, as I am really passionate about working with small business - I love building solutions which save time for busy people. A few questions: 1. When you mention the delivery routes - I'm assuming these will be assigned by the user (i.e. there isn't an expectation that the DB will try and split the scheduled deliveries into optimum routes')? 2. Is the invoice period the same for every customer (so the weekly invoices are always say Mon - Sun for each customer)? 3. Is there any need for the invoices to track payments so the user can see the amount owing by customers at any point - or is this handled by an accounting package? 4. I am not overly familiar with the accounting requirements for the UK sorry - is there a need to incorporate VAT (I just googled and it seems newspapers and magazines cannot have VAT passed on the the customer, but they do attract VAT?? Good to see your system is almsot as complicated as Australia's - over here we have different tax rules for different flavours of milk)?
