ID : 25778870 What version of MS Access you want to use ? Access 2013/2016 ? We can use MS Access as backend or SQL Server Express as backend. If it is desktop database with 1-2 users we can use MS Access as backend and if it more than 4 users then we can use SQL server as backend to this database. For networked database are the users going to use from Internet OR LAN ? if its Internet we can use Pass Through Query that will speed-up inserting data to hosted SQL Server database. If its on LAN we can use SQL Server with linked tables as well. so we can easily accessible when viewing the file in Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access is a great tool for making initial prototype database and then later convert the same for a larger environment. It is easily scalable. Unless you want to make it a web application, otherwise it is exceptional tool and easy to work with. Access has in build facility to import and export the excel file otherwise we can given this feature from our Access application to import the excel file from software by selecting the path of the input file where it is stored on disk.
