THIS JOB IS LOCATED ON FORT GORDON MILITARY BASE. APPLICANTS MUST BE DRUG-FREE AND ABLE TO PASS A GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND CHECK. NO FELONIES WITHIN THE LAST TEN YEARS.
Hourly Rate: $27.00/hour 40 hours per week. We offer a full benefits package including vacation, sick leave, pension, dental and medical benefits after 30 days. MUST BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR Common Access Card (CAC) CARD.
Job Description Data Clerk
General Nature of Work:
Under the direct management of the Dining Facility Manager and Asst. Dining Facility Manager. The data clerk will operate a computer to perform all requirements for the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS). The clerk will assist in a variety of administrative matters to include: maintaining financial and other records both manually and electronically, verifying reports for accuracy and completeness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Is the lead for 2 - 4 cashier/headcount employees.
Operates the dining facility AFMIS system to create and adjust shopping lists and production schedules, makes requests against the inventory, facilitates returns to the inventory, provides inventory accountability, headcount entries; an inquiry against a variety of files, etc.
Establishes a sequence of work accomplishments within established priorities.
Performs other clerical duties as required; Answers telephones, posts publications, files according to IAW ARIMS-25-400-2 and operates standard office machines such as calculator, scanner, fax, and copy machines.
Should be familiar with the duties of Cashier/Headcount and in emergencies fulfill these requirements.
Maintains cleanliness of all areas of responsibility.
Advises Dining Facility Manager on the progress of duties and/or problem areas.
Performs other duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
Stands and moves within the dining facility for up to 8 hours (Excluding break and lunch periods)
Ability to bend and stoop for job duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, on the job training as a data clerk or vocational training in office management.
Can read write and comprehend written instructional documents, perform common mathematics tasks and communicate effectively.
One year of supervisory experience
