Update cryptocurrency codebase, fork to new algorithm

I have a cryptocurrency I made as a hobby years ago, it is a fork of Litecoin. I am interested in updating its codebase to a more recent one and changing its mining algorithm, but maintaining the existing blockchain and token distribution. I want to fork Monacoin which uses Lyra2REv2 algorithm. The source of my coin and monacoin are both available, I need to modify Monacoin source to work on my blockchain/genesis block/etc. and continue the existing blockchain on the new codebase. I am looking for a dev who has experience working with bitcoin/litecoin forks, preferably someone who has done such a hard fork of an existing coin. It is my believe that other than the branding simple changes, to get the Monacoin codebast to work on my blockchain I should just need some constants to be changed, like the genesis block hash and some block checkpoints, and maybe removing or changing some non-relevant BIP checkpoints or something. project can be considered complete if the forked Monacoin code compiles as expected in Linux and works with the existing blockchain of my coin, continues the blockchain on the new algo, and maintains existing coin distribution.
