Hello, and thank you kindly for your consideration.
As a tenured content writer (and admittedly more tenured gamer), I am especially attracted to this job listing for a number of reasons.
First, as mentioned, I have been playing PC and console games since the mid-90s, many of them in the sci-fi genre (mass effect, SW battlefront, Oddworld franchise games, No Man's Sky, etc...) and have many hours of experience reading the dialogue myself.
Secondly, I have developed content for 3 games this year. A point-and-click adventure set in Camelot's Court, a Star Wars card-style story game, and smaller snippets of copy for an HTML5 gaming website.
Finally, and for the last iteration - I love video games. As such, I would not fly through this project as I clamber for the next one. I will enjoy every second and confer with you every step of the way to make sure that we are both pleased with the direction.
Here comes the obligatory self-promotion. Sorry, it's part of the life.
-I've written 450+ blog articles, press releases, academic journals, and stories in addition to the above mentioned video game content.
-I'm a native English speaker with a background in professional editing.
-I work full time as a writer. I'm versed in the latest APA and MLA guidelines.
Hope to speak soon. Either way, best of luck.
