Hello, I wanted to transfer an amount from Binance to Coinbase. This USDT amount had to be converted to BTC before transferring to Coinbase, but I forgot to convert it. Now the transaction has been validated and confirmed by Binance. Impossible for them to help me. So I contacted Coinbase for help. They tell me that their system does not support the problems related to USDT. Here is their response: "Thanks for contacting Coinbase Support. It appears that this transaction involved USDT (Tether) being sent to Coinbase. Tether is a type of cryptocurrency which runs on top of the Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tron blockchain. Tether is not a currency Coinbase offers support for in its trading and wallet services. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for our team to recover any Tether sent to a Coinbase wallet. While transfers of Tether include a small amount of BTC sent to an address, any Tether associated with this transaction is not accessible. Hello friend, it seems that you sent funds to a wallet that does not have functions programmed to work with that currency. When that happens, the funds are frozen in that account, as these are smart contracts that cannot be changed. The only way that might work, is if the contract where the coins were sent was an upgradeable contract. That way perhaps the developers of coinbase could generate some function that would allow them to extract those coins from the contract, but generally this type of smart contract creation model is used very little for security reasons. I wish I could be more helpful.
