Door operation with speed ramp up open and close.
Hardware:
“H”bridge BTS7960
Geared Motor 3GN9K ( 12 Volt 30W 3.5A 200RPM)
Arduino UNO (may use Arduino Nano)
A Push button to open (impulse)
A Push button to close (impulse)
A Push button to stop the door in a given position (in case of a stall or something gets caught etc) (impulse)
A limit switch for fully open
A limit switch for fully closed.
Project:
To control opening and closing a sliding door.
Need to soft start and stop. So ramp up and down using PWM.
The door is only 1000mm full movement.
To tell the door when to slow down before it stops I envisage using a either time or a second limit switch for both open and close.
The door is currently operating with DOL relay control.
It also has timers to ensure the door will stop after a time to ensure it does not continue to try and move if there is an obstruction.
The door currently closes in 4 seconds with the timers set at 10 seconds.
Operation:
When door is closed
Push button to open.
The door starts and ramps to full speed in 1.5 seconds.
It continues to move until either a time or a limit switch is reached at which point the door decelerates till it contacts the fully open limit switch.
Push button to close.
The door starts and ramps to full speed in 1.5 seconds.
It continues to move until either a time or a limit switch is reached at which point the door decelerates till it contacts the fully closed limit switch.
At any time if the Stop button is pressed the door stop moving.
