Are you a Magento programming ninja? Are you able to code PHP in your sleep? Are you well acquainted with Magento like the back of your hands? Then we need YOU! Complete understanding and extensive knowledge of Magento’s PHP system is the most important requirement! So if you cannot answer our simple tasks in a timely manner (must meet deadlines) then please look elsewhere. The projects listed below should be easy for a Magento guru. You must be able to complete the tasks below within 2 days’ time. Consider it a test of your Magento skills. We will have a lot more coding projects that will follow- so please consider, when bidding, this is a long-term commitment with our company. Also, you should be able to assist our in house staff in any small programming tasks on top of other major programming assignments assigned to you. We are looking for the following attributes: strong coding skills, deep understanding of best security practices, can complete tasks promptly, conduct yourself in a professional manner, SEO is critical, website load speed is key, and clear communication is crucial. We need the following programming tasks completed: 1. Meta-tag generation. There is a meta-tag generator for the product page, but it is only partially working; “Description” is working, but “Keywords” are not. And, we need control characters (html code) to be stripped. Example: [login to view URL] 2. Free Shipping. We used to have a custom code to allow free shipping on products. If the item was set (with an option flag) and the order was over $25- it would have free shipping. However, it is no longer working. 3. Products need to “match up” with the proper category when viewing. Example: Roksan - Oxygene Integrated Amplifier- [login to view URL] When viewing this product, the left-hand product navigation shows it to be listed in the “Speaker” category, when it is an “Amplifier.” 4. Set required field for “Category” for products. When creating a product, the “Category” tab must be a required value.
