Add aditional features to a basic app that displays hex

I have wrote a very small program that opens a bin file and displays it as hex. i need a feature added to it that will read the file and depending on what certain hex values are, will highlight a radio button for instance if byte 10 value is 3f then radio button 1 would be highlighted if byte 10 was ff then radio button 1 would be off and radio button 2 would be high lighted. the radio buttons would have simple titles like on and off 1 being on and 2 being off I have gone as far as I can with the program but my level of VB will not take me any further. if any one can help i will have lots of other features to add on an on going basis and other projects to do.
