Senior Development Engineer Analytics Platform\r\n\r\nBe part of the team that is dramatically changing the way any business works. Applying the latest big data processing technologies, generate an array of Business Intelligence reports/data for more efficient and reliable management decisions. A major part of this change is to provide complex interactions cause-effect interactions in a scalable and easily understandable way. This requires using cutting edge UI presentation frameworks to build a re-usable UI platform that will power visualization across multiple functional decisions.\r\n\r\nWe are looking for exceptional engineers who can help build a presentation platform to deliver compelling user experience in visualizing multidimensional data. Position will have opportunity to work on the entire presentation stack including distributed data services, UI rendering, and the latest visualization technologies. Position will be required to develop UI controls and visualization libraries usable in multiple products. The candidate should have experience in UI development standards like HTML, CSS, XML, JSP and familiarity with web presentation styles and templates. Experience with open source UI development software tools like Hibernate, GWT, Gephi, and jQuery etc are highly desirable. Experience with service oriented architectures (SOA) and web services required. The role requires learning new skills regularly as we use cutting edge data processing and presentation technologies to meet rapidly evolving business needs.\r\n\r\nRequirements. \r\n\r\nFollowing are the key requirements:\r\nHands-on experience in building extensible Analytics platform\r\nExperience in building visualization libraries and tools\r\nOnline distributed systems and platform infrastructure design and implementation\r\nBig-data projects using Hadoop, Hive, and other open-source tools/technologies\r\nExperience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues\r\nSharp analytical abilities and proven design skills\r\nTrack record of delivery\r\n\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\nBachelor\'s degree preferably in computer science, Math, Physics or related field\r\n5+ years experience developing Graphical User Interface software products/frameworks\r\nExperience in Java or C++, Web Services, Object Oriented Design, and familiarity with application and database programming in UNIX/Linux.\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nMasters degree in Computer Science/Math/Physics\r\n7+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycle\r\nExperience with UI frameworks such as Spring MVC, GWT, jQuery, Swing, etc\r\nStrong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive\r\nExcellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability \r\n3+ years of experience working with large data sets
