The simallar script was already created 2 years ago by me. Have been using it for activating and deactivating internet access for a PC and Software via writing into registry. The script is in use since then and work stable. So my advantage is that I can deliver it quickly and will use the time proved syntax. Here are few questions, could you please help me to clarify them: 1. Activate will write 1 or 0 on a Key in the registry. First push of "Activate" button will write 1 to the registry next time on pushing "Activate" button it writes 0 in the registry, right? But for what is it good for? Maybe I understand if in the GUI is aditional text/label which will be switched to "activated or deactivated" depending on what is in registry 1 or 0 and the label name will be somethink like "current status". 2. Apply values from Field1 and Field2. Field 1 and 2 should start on 0 (zero), should be numeric only. Values in Field1 and Filed2 will be numeric and after click on Activate they will be written into registry, right? But what do you mean by "...should start on 0 (zero)"? 3. When the app start should load the data from that registry. Sure, make sense.

Hello We will need to talk a little bit about it. I don't understand why do you have 2 fields to update one key in the registry ? Also why do you have 2 fields if the script will write 1 or 0 ? Well if you can answer to this it will help. Thank you in advance, Regards

I have a script that meets your requirement, just need to wrap a guide around it based on your requirement which could be a simple windows form.

Will create a standalone exe in powershell which will read the value of preconfigured registry field. Value of field can be changed as required using the application. Can provide option to configure multiple registry fields. I have worked on similar functionality as a part of one of my projects.

Situation: request for a powershell GUI that allow to read and write to windows registry. Solution: to create GUI with powershell will require to import extra feature like visual basic or windows form.

I work as a Technical Consultant and use powershell everyday. This looks like an exciting project. Is it correct that you will always be writing to the same key? I would suggest that we write it in a way that allows you to check if the key is present then create it if it doesn't exist.
