Attached is link to two software program codes that I think were written in Borland Delpi around 2007. Newspaper Menu Creator is designed to index folders containing newspaper images in two directories: JPEG/Tiff and searchable Pdf. The JPEG and Pdf are of the same image. Indexing is built around dtSearch. The Menu Shell program is designed to produce a graphic interface to easily access the indexed files. I have a working older version of these programs but I wish to now use the newer version. The coder produced the code but never complied version that worked before disappearing. This job is just to get code working. The next job will be modification. You need to look at code before placing bit. Hi! My name is Konstantin. I'm experienced C/C++/Delphi developer. After analysis of provided source codes I made following conclusions: it written in C++ using C++ Builder 6 and seems you've never had full source files set, because number of critical hand-made packages and libraries are missing, eg. dtEngine wrapper, pdfLib wrapper, ImageLib wrapper, etc. And all those packages/libraries should be developed before we will be able to just compile the code. The second source set is much worse and badly incomplete. The conclusion is: it's much easy to build software you need from scratch then put a lot of efforts to restore the missing parts without any support documentation.

I am an Australian and have over 20 years experience in Delphi programming. The source code you have posted has been created using Borland C++ Builder (now produced by Embarcadero as is its sister produce Delphi). The cpp and h files in addition to the dfm files is a clue to this. If it was written in Delphi there would be .pas files instead of .cpp and .h files. While I consider myself an expert in Delphi (backend language is object pascal), I am not an expert in C++ (what is used by C++ builder). I am posting a bid here to simply notify you that you perhaps need to reconsider the wording of your post. I have played with cpp builder at one time many years ago but do not have a licensed copy of it at present. I hope I have been of assistance to you by posting this post. Kind regards, Kevin Day.
