curl xml parser

I need an xml parser to read an xml file which is currenlty useing fopen to parse the xml. The code works 100% with the fopen command but i need this code converting to use curl and not fopen. Pretty small job but needs someone who knows curl with php well pm me for more details if required. This is an URGENT job so no time wasters please
