Component and module for Joomla

I need a component written for joomla 1.5 that will allow you to replicate content from one site to a selection of other sites. Screens 1) Target Sites configuration- this will be a back end screen that allows sites to be defined that will have the content copied to. This will include connection details to the DB, ftp details, etc and should have a test function to verify connection properties. 2) Replicate screen - this will allow you to select a) the sites (defined above) that you want to replicate content to and their respective target categories (can be different per site) b) the articles you want to copy from the master site. c) initiate the replication of content, listing errors etc. The replicate screen will also have the same functionality in a module to allow publishers to perform this function without logging into the backend. Screen mockups will be provded. Please give indication of : (1) What experience do you have of creating modules and components for joomla 1.5 (2) Do you have examples I can see?
