Company Logo, Website, and Application Icon Design

We are currently a stealth software startup. You'll be dealing with experienced developers. This project involves the following: - 1 Company logo - 1 Website design - 1 Windows application icon - 2 Windows dialog button icons - 1 Promotional banner When bidding - Include a portfolio of your work - Don't send a bunch of links to websites that are irrelevant, we will ignore your bid - Don't send examples of technologies not mentioned above (PHP/Rails/ASP.net/ etc.) - Include live site code examples in your portfolio, our developers will audit your code for engineering quality - Include references and corresponding contact information (that you have received permission to offer as a referral) - Answer the following questions o If extra work falls outside this project, what you would charge o How much time do you anticipate this taking o Once your bid is accepted, how long until you can begin o What your response time will be to inquiries during project collaboration o Who I will be dealing with (direct contact or a manager) Proposals will be selected on the basis of bid competitiveness, expected quality, and scheduling realities. We realize that the cheapest may not be the best and encourage all skilled participants to bid. The company name and further product details will be revealed upon bid acceptance. We appreciate your interest look forward to your bid. ## Deliverables Company Logo Design - At least 9 different base designs (iterative process, come up with 3, we will provide feedback, then refine). - At least 2 base colors per design, but no more than 8 (fewer is better) - Final design must render well in monochrome and grayscale - As many iterations as necessary to come up with a final design - Should be crisp, clean, and professional, targeting corporate end users - See <[login to view URL]> for hundreds of examples - Output formats must include AI, JPEG, GIF, and PNG at Various apprpriate sizes and resolutions. - Logo should be delivered in form factors suitable for print, letterheads, business cards, power point background, and web sites Website Design - HTML & CSS only (no Flash) - Must render correctly in Internet Exporer 6+ and Firefox 1.0+ - Must support resolutions of 800x600 and above - HTML must conform to HTML 4.01 Strict - CSS must conform to CSS 2.0 standards - No other technologes (AJAX, PHP, ASP.Net, SQL etc. are prohibited) - Must be well coded and easy for our developers to integrate into our site - Should be as easy to use as possible - when making tradeoffs, prefer simplicity and be prepared to explain your choices - You will be given general wireframe page layouts and will be responsible for making the pages attractive and functional - HTML code should be clean, organized and readable - Do not cut corners (for example, simply cutting up an image in Photoshop and putting it on top of HTML will be grounds for failure) - Some pages may require custom artwork which you will be responsible for providing - As many iterations as necessary to come up with a final design - Custom CSS file (ideally 1 for the whole website) o Appropriate classes and ID definitions o Should be very readable and self documenting with respect to what each style refers to o Semantic naming (describe the content the style describes, not the formatting ??" i.e. use page_header_text instead of bold_large_text) - Website must match the style, look, and feel of the logo - Pages include (by hierarchy): o Home o Products &#61607; • FAQ o Support o About Us Icon Design - Our application is a Windows .Net application (.ico format) - Icons must match the style, look, and feel of the company logo and website - Icons must comply with the Windows Vista User Experience Guidelines (available at <[login to view URL]>) - One main application icon o 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 &#61607; 4bit, 8bit, 32bit versions &#61607; Must not be compressed o 256x256 &#61607; 32bit version &#61607; Should compress well to keep file size down however this image should not be compressed by default - Two dialog button icons o 32x32, 48x48 &#61607; 4bit, 8bit, 32bit versions &#61607; Must not be compressed - Source project files must be included as well as final .ico files - Icons must include images for all for all required sizes and bit depths as specified in the Vista guidelines and mentioned above Promotional Banner - One banner to be used to promote the product - Output formats must include HTML/CSS and JPG+PNG+GIF versions - Needs to include the logo and look and feel of the site - Must include a call to action 1) Complete and fully-functional source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform
