Hallo, here a short overview : *FOR DETAILED INFORMATION HAVE A LOOK AT THE ATTACHEMENT!!* This will be the working process: 1. Documents are scanned by a document-scanner (pages DIN A4 & A5 mostly). 2. The image files are saved to a specific directory. The server-software you should design is supposed to do the following: a. Open each image file and scan it for a barcode. aa) If there is one on the document: save the document-image to the database and save the number of the barcode to the case (each barcode stands for an case), so the case can be found by searching for the barcode-number. bb) If it can´t find a barcode: Theese documents have to be remembered in a way so the number can be added manually later on. bbb) There CAN be cases which go over more than 1 page. In this case the 2. page won´t have a barcode-sticker. Because of this, it´s important to have the option to add this page manually to the case indexed before this page. For example: You have scanned pages: a-b-c-d-e. Pages a,b,d,e will have barcode-stickers on them. The software only recognizes the barcodes on pages: a,b,e (for example because the sticker was damaged). Now we need the possibility to see the scanned images of pages c,d. Page c belongs to the multipage case b,c - and so we need to save page c as the second page to page b. On page d we need to enter the number manually and than save it as a separate case. b. It´s important that one has the oportunity to enter comments to the cases if it´s neccessary. c. You must have the opportunity to search the database by barcode-number. d. You must have the opportunity to print each case as it was scanned (NOT to print a set of barcodes!). The clients must have the following options: a. Have access to the database b. Search for cases by barcode number c. Enter comments to the specific case. d. View and print them (again: the whole case and NOT make barcodes and print them!). e. They are NOT allowed to delete cases (only the server is allowed to do this!). f. It must be possible to add images to an already existing case later on. *FOR DETAILED INFORMATION HAVE A LOOK AT THE ATTACHEMENT!!* ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) A nearly 100% barcode recognition. 3) The special kind of "not-recognized-document" handling specified in this bid request and attachement. 4) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request and attachment and sort of license-system (for example Software Keys) which is for every copy differnt and limits the number of clients that are allowed to have access to the database. 5) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site). ## Platform Server: The server will have a Microsoft operating system (NT/2k/XP).
