I need a DNS application written in VB.Net.
What it will do is this:
It will run as a service accepting DNS requests from client computers on a LAN. It must have the ability to deny a request from a computer that is not part of a scope that is set. example only accept requests from [login to view URL] - 192.168.1.254.
When the request comes in it will check an SQL database if the requested website is Approved for all to use or for this particular user. The server app must grab the current logged on user so that it can check against the database. If the site is not listed as approved, the client is forwarded to a page that tells them to temporarily gain access you must agree to the following terms (which is stored in the database). At that point they are allowed to get to the site for 24 hours. That site should be in a table that is waiting for full approval from an admin. There should be an admin program to view pending sites and approve or deny. If denied, it goes in the black listed table and if the user tries to temporarily approve again for 24 hours access it's denied.
This dns app must also allow active directory requests to go through without any trouble. I think it should check each request with the active directory DNS server and if the result is a local IP allow the request to be passed on, if it's outside the network then check against the database.
You're suggestions to make it work more efficiently is appreciated.
