Build a website and mobile app for ios and android using php and phonegap

I would like a website and integrated mobile application (Android and iPhone) built for a company named “Wind Junky”. This is a weather and social site for water sports enthusiasts and needs to appeal to this demographic. The main water sports I am catering for are: - Kiteboarding - Surfing - Sailing - Stand Up Paddle - Windsurfing - Fishing The main functions of the website will be: - Weather information presented in a graphical and text based format for the major coastal areas in Australia. - Forums for general discussion and social networking - Buy and Sell equipment - More will discussed at a later stage. The new website will have to look more professional and cleaner than the above websites and not infringe on any copyright. The style of website that I am looking for is a modern clean design similar to big websites like Facebook, freelancer etc. Stage 1 - The first stage of the project would involve implementing the basic framework and layout of the website including the CMS etc. Stage 2 - The second stage would involve populating the weather information pages with information from the Bureau of Meteorology. This data is available from the Bureau of Meteorology in a JSON format and is refreshed every 10 minutes. Here is an example: [login to view URL] The first graph I would like to be populated from the JSON data service is a basic graph that populates the wind speed and direction over the current day period. I will provide the design and the images for this graph once they are completed. The second graph I would like to be populated is the 7 day weather forecast including temperature, Sun/Rain/Cloud, wind speed and direction. I will provide the design and the images for this graph once they are completed. The graphs component should be built in a generic manor that would allow an administrator via the CMS to add different weather station graphs to the website. There will be approximately another 2 or 3 graphs that are based on tide charts and ocean swell that will need to be built and these can be discussed later. They will be similar to the ones above so they won’t be very complicated. Stage 3 – Implement a mobile version of the website for both Android and iPhone. The mobile version of the website needs to offer the same functionality as the website but more customized to both Android and iPhone devices. The website has to be developed with this in mind so the usability is seamless between the main website and mobile devices. Other stages and larger projects will follow but will be dependent on my satisfaction from the work completed on the previous stages. Please note: I have been working in IT as a software developer, business analyst and project manager for the last 10 years so I am fairly competent in these areas of IT. I will be easy to work with but will expect a high level of quality. I prefer a more agile approach to software development and am freely available to provide feedback and advice on the direction of the project. Colours and Theme: I would like to use the colours dark blue, light blue and grey but would be open to others. I want to keep the site simple and clean so the site would have to cater for this. I have attached the logo that we have got another graphic designer to create and will form the basis for the look and feel of the web site and mobile app. I look forward to working with the selected freelancer.
