Wordpress blog seo

I have 2 wordpress blogs: first set up 6 months ago and 2nd one about 1 month ago. I cannot seem to get my posts indexed by google (only about 10% of them). I want to resolve this before proceeding. The posts I made were mine (unique) and I know my subject very well. Is there anybody there who can help me? Please give me example of your work. Thanks. Note: I know a little seo and I have a 6 years old website with lots of pages with pr of 3-5. However, I cannot duplicate it on wordpress. How fast is google indexing?
