I have a client who needs his current shopping cart to also work with mobile phones, since 80% of his traffic is coming from cell phones. This will either necessitate integrating the current shopping cart with a mobile interface, or integrating a mobile shopping cart with the current database or finally moving all of the 96 products (with a minimum of 10 sizes and 5 colors for each product) into a new database/shopping cart. I would prefer using mysql, but the current database is a flat file (scary, but that is what the client has). If you can come up with a way to make it easy to move data to the new database and make adding new products simple, I will entertain the proposals. I would also like to get a separate quote for ongoing support. My client will need a detailed solution outlined and will make the final decision based on the proposed solution.
