Need someone with Asterix experience to advise us on hardware purchase and then setup Asterix for us. Experience of UK phone systems an advantage. We want Asterix to replace our current PBX We have 2 x ISDN/2 = 4 outside lines, we can change these to 4 x Analogue if that's easier We don't want to change to ISDN/30 because of installation cost and in UK we have to have minimum 8 lines Internal we have 6 Extensions plus 1 Fax, unlikely to expand much We have existing 1024/256 ADSL line, we can order a separate ADSL line for voice if that's better. Reason for change - we want to have remote workers in UK and Offshore with IP Phones as extensions on our Phone system. What is speech quality like? What experience do you have? What does your bid include? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Monday May 9, 2005 3:31:35 PM: More information for you. We are based in the UK. This new Aterisk system will replace our existing ISDN PBX, that has 2 x ISDN/2 PSTN lines, giving 4 channels. There are 2 x ISDN extension phones and 4 x Analogue extension phones and 1 x Fax machine. Our Telco is BT. The ISDN/2 lines have caller identification, so we can see number that is calling us, we have a DDI number range of 10 consecutive phone numbers, any number can ring on any of the 4 channels. We have 2 x Analogue PSTN lines, these are not connected to our current PBX. One line carries our ADSL Broadband service but is not used for Phone calls. The other line is connected to our Alarm system, this uses the Red Care system and the alarm system transmits a quiet beep sound on the line every few seconds. I purchased a 2nd hand Eicon Server ISDN card to connect the Asterisk to one of our ISDN/2 (I SDN BRI not PRI) PSTN phone line, this gives 2 Channels, equivalent to 2 Analogue lines. I purchased 2 x clone FXO cards to connect the 2 x PSTN Analogue lines. These are the cards: [login to view URL] I will have one of the ISDN/2 lines disconnected. This will give us 1 x ISDN/2 = 2 lines and 2 x PSTN Analogue lines, making 4 lines in total. The PSTN Analogue lines have different phone numbers to the ISDN line. When the Asterisk routes outgoing calls on PSTN lines, I would like them to use the Analogue lines first before the ISDN channels to keep the ISDN channels free for incoming calls. If the Analogue lines are in use then outgoing calls will go on the ISDN line. We will replace all the internal phones with VOIP phones e.g. Snom 190 I will purchase a VOIP to Analogue handset adapter to connect the Fax machine. We will have several remote workers with VOIP phones, these external phones will be ext ensions on the PABX, able to answer incoming calls from the PSTN, we will be able to transfer calls between extensions whether they are in the office or external. Security is important, we don't want unauthorised users to connect to our Asterisk and use it as a free gateway onto the UK PSTN. We will have several new Phone numbers provided by Gradwell, these numbers will ring on our Asterisk just like calls from the PSTN [login to view URL] ## Platform Linux Asterix UK Phone systems
