Article/Content Management System Development

This project is a new content management system that will be resold as a product. The developer may be engaged for future work if this project goes well. Any developer who works on this project will be asked to sign a no-compete agreement and a non-disclosure agreement. We have a current content management system that is developed using PHP classes and a very easy to use and customize interface. It also has some capabilities for allowing users to load articles from free content resources. We are looking for someone who has the following experience: * PHP development using PHP class (OO) * MySQL database development * mod_rewrite * Experience working on scripts developed for resale * Experience developing scripts to control site licenses (i.e. preventing people from selling/reselling script without permission, requiring each domain to be registered via our web site) This is a very interesting project and for a good PHP developer, it should be a very easy project. The current script has features for managing articles from the administrative interface, managing categories from the admin interface, displaying content by category, content ratings and comments, search engine friendly URLs and loading articles from a popular free content source. We are looking to add the following features: * Review existing code to identify any bugs and implement any changes that would make the script easier to use/more effective * Allow users to add/edit articles/content, articles will need to be approved by administrators * Set up a “Tell a Friend?? script that allows users to send a link to the site/specific articles to a friend via email * Advertisement manager * Allow for loading of content from some other free content sources * Add ability to create an RSS feed from the site * Ability to integrate RSS feeds from other sites by simply entering the URL to the feed ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. **Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
