Calendaring and small workflow software

The project is to develop a event calendaring software and each of the event wil trigger a reminder before the event in form mof email and confirmation will be done by the event owner on completion of the event. Consolidated reporting etc will be required. The product will be totally web enabled and backend has SQL and has to be developed on .NET as this will be part of enterporise suit of software. First time at this site and am trying out stuff.
