We currently have a legacy desktop application that was created in Delphi (Pascal programming language) utilizing the Paradox Database that we wish to upgrade to utilize .NET/C#/SQL Server or mysql technologies to take advantage of the following following platform modes: 1) Desktop (Server/Client mode) whereby the single application acts as server client modes. This would be written in .NET C# Desktop application and utilizing the sql server database. 2) A web based UI whereby a web user interface of the client/server application is provided. Both application modes will utilize a multi tenant model through the creation of master and client databases. The user interface should be both web oriented and desktop oriented. Hi, This can be achieved by designing database in SQL Server and a WCF Service that will communicate with database using Entity Framework. The UI (Win/Web) will communicate with this WCF service to get/set data in database. In this way there will be a clear separation between logic and presentation and same service can be used in future for like mobile apps.
