We have a cross-platform game written in Cocos 2D-X in C++. The game is complete, and currently builds & runs to iOS, Android, Mac OS X and Windows. We currently have a complete working game that we'd like to switch out the artwork. This is a quick and easy project. It's all 2D art, in a "retro pixel" style. We're looking for someone who can integrate a new set of backgrounds, characters, and vehicles into the game project. All of the artwork will be provided for you, however you are expected to be able to perform basic tasks in Photoshop as there are few level map tiles you will need to make (from the provided artwork). You will be responsible for completing the tasks described in this brief.
The project currently resides on GitHub (private) and you will be required to make a branch of the code and integrate your changes into that branch.
Tasks:
1) Main Menu Scene
Currently the game title says "WizardMoon" (the title of our last project). Swap this out to say instead "Borderlords" using the provided font ( [login to view URL] )
2) Bedroom Level
Integrate the provided bedroom art to replace the existing bedroom starting level artwork. Extract information from the provided .psd and use that to make any necessary tiles.
3) Living Room Level
Integrate the provided living room art to create a level that the player can reach after leaving the bedroom. This should feature foreground and background objects as shown in the .psd.
4) Underground Tunnel Level
Integrate the provided underground tunnel art to create a level that the player can reach after leaving the living room. This should feature foreground and background objects as shown in the .psd.
5) Underground Lab Level
Integrate the provided underground laboratory art to create a level that the player can reach after leaving the underground tunnel. This should feature foreground and background objects as shown in the .psd.
6) Strip Club Level
Integrate the provided strip club art to create a level that the player can reach after leaving the underground lab, going through another underground tunnel, and then emerging from the tunnel the strip club. This should feature foreground and background objects as shown in the .psd.
7) Drug Plantation Level
Integrate the provided drug plantation art to create a level that the player can reach after leaving the strip club. This should feature foreground and background objects as shown in the .psd.
8) Integrate all new characters & vehicle art
We have a folder of character sprites that need to be integrated into the game (via spritesheets). Integrate these and ensure all animations are working properly.
Requirements:
• Must have Photoshop CS6+
• Must be experienced with Cocos2D-X
• Must be experienced with C++
• Must commit code daily to GitHub on your own branch (failure to commit to your own branch will result in non-payment)
Payment Schedule:
• 50% milestone created & released upon first progress commit to own branch (not master) on GitHub
• 50% milestone created & released upon approved final commit
