Hi everyone, I am after for someone to help me out by assisting with the installation of OpenCV version 3 alpha, I have not managed to get it working in Linux (lubuntu or Ubuntu) and my general installation instructions do not work ; where I don’t have a lot of time to play around. An example can be seen in the link below [login to view URL] What I require is the instructions or a few scripts so I can understand the issue and install OpenCV version 3 alpha, I would rather someone who has done this before. Once ready I will be testing it on a fresh vertical machine preferably Ubuntu and Lubuntu 14.04. NOTE: the error I continuously get is: relocation R_386_GOTOFF against undefined symbol ‘ippicJumpIndexForMergedLibs’ can not be used when making a shared object

Hi, It seems that yo have some issues with the necessary dependencies and the libraries installed. I have not installed openCV earlier, but I don't think it should that bit of a problem, if it's resources that states that it can be installed on ubuntu and is compatible with it. I am damn sure I can install it for you . In my past I have had similar installation issues with certain rails based applications like teambox, gitorious and others which did not easily installed but needed a curve ball. I feel that I can help you out on this one. Regarding me, I myself am a system admin with more than 8 years of experience in setting up servers and installing applications like the one you mentioned.
