bluehost backed up via amazon

Hi I think you're misleaded with the dns routing concept. AWS can't be configured to route traffic to it's own premises whenver your bluehost server goes down. Instead it support checking the health for resources that bound to AWS, like EC2, RDS etc. I'd rather recommend to migrate all to AWS or just stick with bluehost and whenever it crashes then manually changing DNS conf in AWS to route traffic to it.
