We want an really simple logo for our open source project. Little about our project: We do something call "porting" where we make the all new Ubuntu touch operative system work on android phones. And since we are working on "low level" we want's element from that. (low level means we work really close with the chips inside the phone, we work bellow all user interfaces) What we want: We want something that's both simple but also includes elements from phone or tablet. We want to base around the suru design ([login to view URL]). We have been thinking about an open phone where you can see the chips, or an phone where you also see the chips inside the phone or a phone showing installment of new software in some way. But we are open for any ideas.

Hello there! I'd like to give just a little recommendation. Nowadays, app related logos are simple but well looking. Just take an example of Ubuntu's or Android's logo (or even freelancer's logo). Both are really simple, flat shapes with no gradients or shadows. So I'd suggest you should look foward to get a logo with that style. There are millions of logos in the world, good and bad, but the most successful logos are almost always simple. It's just easier to remember that way. I think there would be many interesting ways I can get your idea to work yet still keeping it simple.
