Hello,
I am a qualified UK graphic designer and illustrator. I work part time as a freelance artist and designer. I specialized in children's book illustration and wildlife illustration for my degree but have done many different kinds of projects since. I have spent over 25 years doing allsorts of different kinds of projects mostly with traditional drawing and painting techniques, but with some computer aided work as well.
I am happy to work in whatever style or medium you like and I am happy to work with you to produce what you see in your mind and what will be a great book at the end of the project.
I have worked on wildlife illustration, children's books, children's comic design work, magazines, exhibitions, cartoons and comic magazines, characterisation, product design, wildlife work, theatre design, poster and leaflet design, educational resources etc.
In relation to your specific comic work, I created a series of comic magazines called 'Treasure Kids Comic' for a Kids network I ran for several years. These were 16 or 20 page full colour magazines and I wrote the text, designed and illustrated the cartoon characters and other images in the comics and designed the games, puzzles and quiz ideas in the comic. Layin all this out took alot of time as we issued them every 4-6 weeks.
These did take alot of time to put together so would need to talk to you about all aspects before taking the work on. Is it just a one off or a series. I am happy to negotiate all aspects of this work from cost and timing to style of work, content and picture image etc.
I have copies of many of the magazines I created but as they were on a work computer which I have left behind I do not have the computerised comics to send to you. I do have photos of some of the magazines themselves or can send original copies to you if you were interested. Tough they were for a chrisian organisation they were essentially educational and for a market of children between 5 amd 11. we hot somewhere in the middle of this age range really.
Kind regards
Steve Williams
