Comic Book Artist for Comic/Graphic Novel Submission

I have written a story in both novella and graphic novel form and, quite frankly, feel the graphic novelization is much sharper. Tragically, my artistic skills are no match for my imagination and could be considered a few ranks below subpar. What I’d like is an artist to render something I could use as a submission. Roughly 9 inked and lettered pages rather than an entire novel right off the bat. Since this story has not been accepted anywhere I’ll be paying out of pocket, which will allow me to muster $250 for those ~9 pages. Ideally, should the novel be accepted, better wages (provided by the publisher, as well as a nice publishing contact) for the remainder. The story centers around a man who is 1,000 years old and has witnessed the steady reorganization of humankind around warring theocratic regimes following a cataclysmic meteor strike. He is one of the last remnants of humanity’s pre-cataclysm technology and aims to return his species to an era that is not (relatively speaking) dominated by fear, brutality, and ignorance. Future graphic novels will focus on various experiences along the 1,000-year timeline. The opening ~9 pages are attached. Read and decide if you would be interested in doing some drawing. If you decide you’re interested, pick a page (multi- or single-panel), or maybe more than one, and bring it to life for me—feel free to innovate if you like. I’ll make my selection judged on the submissions. Submissions should be done in pencil. You’re welcome to use color if you like, but my intention is to get a feel for what you can do without taking up too much of your time. I respect graphic artists for their ability to convey images in ways that I cannot, and the worst possible crime I can think of would be to waste your time.
