Create a Google application for parsing received email and adding event to Google calendar based on a date in the email

Need to automatically parse email messages from a specific sender received in a Gmail account which will contain a date and some additional information and add one or more events to a Google calendar based on that date in the email and that information. Even adding rules are very simple.
