Desktop Interface of Barcode Scanner The barcode scanner emulates a keyboard so we need to monitor key strokes, searching for the scanned data and then perform certain actions. Requirements: 1. Application should log all key strokes, whether focus is given or not. 2. There will be a set of characters defined to determine the end of a scan and possibly the start of a scan. 3. If no start scan characters are defined, the key logger will continue to capture key strokes until the end set of characters is detected. Once detected, the scan data will display and reset scan values. 4. Start set of characters will be between 0 - 11 in length and ending set of characters will be between 1 - 11 in length. 5. All characters between the scan start and scan end will be considered scan data to be displayed. 6. Upon successful scan, a window will popup showing the scanned value. 7. Application will have MDI Parent and may have several children screens open, including the scan data display screen. The scan data display screen should always be brought into focus and display current scan data no matter what screen/form is currently in use. 8. If application is minimized or focus is on another app the application will be given focused, maximized and show the scan screen when a successful scan is detected.
