Project: C# Programmer for Stock Exchange Data recording Expected work load 5-10 days. We would like the programmer to build a small tool to monitor and save real-time stock exchange data (bid ask quotes). The real-time data will be delivered via an API from a Broker, a C# .Net interface for the data is available. ([login to view URL]). The broker we use is Interactive Brokers ([login to view URL]), a demo account and demo tickers will be provided. The programmer should build a simple GUI that displays realtime quotes. The relevant tickers should be imported from an Excel sheet, where the user can add, delete and modify stock tickers (eg. MSFT). The recorded data should be saved in a text file or an Access Database. We will request the full source code. If we are compeletly happy with the work, there will be a bigger follow-up project with a work load of 6-10 weeks.

This is my game. I am a senior software engineer for the largest US discount broker. I work with this same type of data day in and day out. The only thing I haven’t done in c# is import data from Excel. That should pose no issue outside of researching the api. The output can be text, xml, Access or have you considered MSDE? Microsoft’s SQL Server desktop edition (MSDE) is free and powerful. Much more so then Access. This is not a "think I can do it" bid it is a “I can do it; I do it all the time” bid.
