SSIS Slowly Changing Identity SCD, I need a way to return the @@Identity of the last inserted or updated record. I can't use any external functions or stored procedures sine the solution is for a portable report package product. There should be a property on the SCD Wizard control that has the identity number it is generating but there's not one. Select @@ identity, or scope_identity function returns null. I web searched and found some posts about it listed below but haven't found one that works. For the solution for this project you can send a link to a solution that works, or provide a sample package that works, or step by step instruction on how to do it. Also, I can send you a package with the scd flow and database tables.

Trying to get the SSIS package attached to either perform operation A or B based on the count from a SQL table. If the count is 0 then it should do B, if the count is 1 then it should A. I just need this working correctly. The count should be based on the statement being executed in the "Execute SQL task" NOT based on a variable for the entire package........ I have a very complex piece of xml that is coming in on ...transformed into the appropriate table(s) in a sql server database. I need to use SSIS. I tried using it already using an xml source and a destination - but first it failed because the xml file had a DTD in it. So I changed it to use XSD instead. Then it said the xml was too complex to do the transform. So I tried doing it a completely different way.. using an ole db destination instead and using a query to put the values into the database tables using the query but I clearly did something wrong there too. I need someone to look at the xml file and come up with the package they would create to resolve the problem.
