Hello, I have a CNC machine, and want to make a smaller scale replica version of the Paramount Theater sign, 6-7 feet in height. This will stay inside and act as décor / art. I will likely be machining the components out of MDF wood and maybe acrylic if needed -- and am very open to your construction ideas -- but will need the 3d model in which to output. I need somebody that can also help me to either select small lights and who has the best suggestion to mimic the look and effect of what it looks like at night -- where it can switch between "chase" and "solid" effects. Hi -- I am a DIY maker -- with access to a wood CNC router -- I really want to make a replica version of this kinetic art I have fallen in love with -- on a fairly large scale, 4'x8'+. There is a couple versions -- but its usually controlled by 8-16 servos. I found a way to make the mechanism to move the hands in 2 directions on 1 spindle (like a clock) The problem is I don't know what kind of servos to get... how to control them... and how to find or make software that allows me to visually program the patterns. I own/operate a small business and I need to be able to 3d print a couple parts (probably using carbon fiber or PET-G filament) that have internal threads or other details. I am purchasing a 3d printer and scanner next week but I don't believe it has the right scanning ability for all of my projects.
