Wordpress Site Needs Editing

I need to know how to do two things on my wordpress site. I want the roll over links to be the default colors which they are not on the current theme i am using? Secondly i want someone to show me how to set the main images displayed on the homepage of my site for each article. At the moment the images are selected automatically. I need this done ASAP.
